Rob Burke is an Australian musician and improviser with a dozen albums in his own name and appearances on many others alongside the likes of George Lewis, Tom Rainey, Dave Doulas and many others. Rob is entrenched in the world of jazz and improvisation as both a highly regarded composer and performer and as an academic and researcher – he is currently convenor of Jazz And Popular Studies at Monash University, Melbourne and also president of the Australasian Jazz and Improvisation Research Network.
